Paul Tewes

Paul Tewes specializes in national political organizing and was one of the lead strategists in stopping the Keystone XL pipeline. He was the Iowa state director for Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. Following the election, Tewes worked at the New Partners consulting firm in Washington, D.C. and later founded Smoot Tewes Group along with fellow 2008 Obama Campaign veteran Julianna Smoot. He is also co-founder of the advocacy group Americans United for Change (AUFC). Tewes is a 1993 graduate of Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota.
