News :  Energy Builders Webinar (12/2): Community Benefits Agreements & Energy Dividends

You know me best as a pipeline fighter. Now, I’m also becoming an energy builder.

America is on the cusp of building out the next 100 years of energy, with wind and solar playing a major role. Rural America has the land needed to build wind and solar projects that can bring energy freedom to our country.

But right now, the economic model for these projects is broken. I believe our communities deserve better.

I believe rural people deserve a seat at the table to decide fair zoning, protect property rights, ensure good jobs, and secure an American Energy Dividend.

So Bold hosted a webinar on December 2nd at 6:00 PM to talk with folks about how we can join together to diversify our energy base, keep energy costs low for families, and bring jobs and wealth to our towns.

I know folks might be skeptical. Politicians have made talking about wind and solar toxic. And clean energy companies haven’t helped themselves by treating communities with disrespect and pushing projects through with backroom negotiations.

I’m proud to live in a rural community, and you know I will always fight for our rural way of life. That’s why I want to talk to you and other Bold Nebraskans about how we do that through Community Benefit Agreements that include an American Energy Dividend.

I was joined by Lancaster County Commissioner Sean Flowerday — a proven leader who protects our way of life by ensuring energy projects move forward with the community’s voice at the table.
